Cloud Computing and airlines safety

Cloud computing and airlines safety

Cloud computing is any computer activities that involves delivering hosted services over the internet. This is an information technology which resources are restricted from the internet through web-based tools and applications. However cloud computing structure allows access to information as long as electronic device has access to the web, all emails and photos album to calendars and shares documents are examples. In present business all small or large business they are using information software to do their business work using online pay systems or other type of data transforming activities on the internet they all are a kind of cloud computing .The information pass A PC or mobile device over web or net which information spreads as cloud that is cloud computing.
Amazons EC2 virtual capturing environment making easy purchasing services, software, network equipment and soon users can buy online. Most of cloud environment on offer and user can customized the services according to their needs on that time.
Now days, cloud computing has been used every field of business and even in government office work. It has been proofed that airlines industry is one of the important sector for cloud computing. Flight is much related word with the safety, to get right information about weather of destination and detail information about its passenger is always challenging. This is the case of 11 carries snapping 850 Airport in nearly 150 countries 10,000 daily departures and fleet of 2500 aircraft, the complexity and diversity on seat availability, gate assignments from arrival/ departures. To make easy to such a big challenge in airlines sector rapid advance technology is working every single day continually.
XEROX XRX-3.59 is one of the good recent examples. This technology continues help to make air journey safe in North airline industry. It helps through cloud computing because it gives right information on time from whirlpool of data. This can give correct information about whether of destination and detail information about the passengers. On the other hand it can stop unnecessary data or information to deliver to airlines information systems.
In latest information technology cloud computing is great issues but most of companies managing its information system by developing new programs. In last days most of the airlines companies developed their own data transforming system to make the information more secure and reliable i.e recently China Air,  Singapore Airlines has been started their own effort to manage the cloud computing issues on their flight information.
At last personal I can see there is still some change in information system to get accurate and necessary information from data stores device anytime from anywhere because what format is install at your home computer may not be same when you are using  different device on overseas which may cause trouble to you to get same information included filed when you are checking mail. But we can see Microsoft other software programs company are making it day by day easier and reliable.

Cloud Computing to Aid airlines Saftey

While the rapid advance of technology continues to aid the north American Airline including those same advancements are making timely and accurate communication challenging for some airlines. The pace of change is challeniging the continual transmissions that occur during every flight such as relaying key modification in flight plans or wheather and airport uploads.
Technology advancements often require the use of disparate or incompitable communication formates that don't allow airlines to efficently share information with key avitaion agencies around the world.Xerox (NYSF-XRX_new) is very helpful to slove airlines share information with key in flights palns and passengers
information. XEROX is allowing disporate communications systems to work seamessly.
Nowdays airlines can draw an exportise of XEROX and avfinity to provide seamless transmissons of flight-critical commuication

Cloud Computing History and Future

Cloud computing is defined as a term in which anything is involved in order to deliver traditional hosted services over internet. This name ‘cloud computing’ is designed by the cloud symbol that is used to represent the internet in flowcharts and diagrams.

Many people believe that the idea of cloud computing is the next big thing, but it is itself as old as the computer. Information systems Professor Ramnath Chellappa first introduced the term ‘cloud computing’ in 1997, but the concept was born in 1960s. Over a few years, companies and organization started to change the hardware to cloud services to get benefits from reducing the capital costs and easing in IT staffing issues. Carbon Disclosure Project report states that companies and organization that acknowledge cloud computing operations not only benefits on reducing capital cost but also help in shrinking energy consumption and carbon emissions. By the year 2020, it is estimated that cloud operations will save upto $12.3 billion in energy costs plus 200 million barrels of oil.

Now in Australia, Cloud Computing is found to be growing significantly in the global ICT industry. The business services of cloud computing is benefitting locally or in global markets. Many business companies start to transform their use of technology to improve on ICT users and the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. Similarly, cloud computing supports Australian ICT sector to maximize the industry development opportunity to take place. Because of Australian government strong potential and strengths of stable political, financial, legal and regulatory environment help to move towards success for local industry and establish ICT industry profile as a leading Cloud computing provider. Due to this success, companies can be benefit from various ways that include the potential for significant foreign direct investment, high‐value jobs creation and increased national productivity.

types of clouds

Private cloud:  in private cloud, the infrastructure is generally operated for an organization but it is usually managed by the organization or a third party.

Community cloud:  the infrastructure of cloud is shared among various organization but finally supports a specific community is called community cloud. These several organisation  shared a common concerns that include mission, policy and procedures, security requirements and compliance considerations. It is also managed by the organisation or a third party.

Public cloud:  when an organization owned and sell infrastructure of cloud services to the general public or a large industry group this cloud is called public cloud.
e.g. now days we are using internet from different organizations.

Hybrid cloud: when the organization’s infrastructure is made up of two or more clouds and they are bound together by standardised or proprietary technology to release data and application between clouds

Investing in "cloud"

Cloud computing is just the way to increase you business performance, without adding any cost to buy a server/ software, train the people to look after it and updating your version.
it's all include in this innovation. it's really good for the new business to start their path by using "cloud" computing, not just because it's free and easy to use, it's actually reliable. with using cloud computing our business can improve the way we interact within the organization and outside the organization .
Because our organization and  our customer is under the same "roof",or under the same "cloud". we can share our information and updated our performance through the cloud.

let say you want to run business online, with "cloud" computing you can easily just set on our couch at home and start choosing the provider that already available on the "cloud", such as amazoon, E-bay, etc.
you can maintaining your own store and in the same time interact with your customer via online while your're at home and enjoying your meal. Also we can sharing our stock levels to the supplier easily by using "cloud", so whenever we got item low on our stock, the supplier will notice it and straightaway send the new stock to us, without wasting any time to contact our supplier and inform them.
this type of system it's called retail-link, and its been implemented in "wallmart" supplier chain system long time ago to improve their performance in fast movement product retailer.

Nowadays lot of organization start investing their business into "cloud", let's say "Optus". Optus starting to implement cloud computing to optimize their sales and customer service. also to expand their market into Asian-pacific region, especially with Singapore. Furthermore, "Optus" also trying to maximize the security of their employee by using optus mobile device security to protect employee's devices against malware and malicious application.

As a result of investing their business to the "cloud" optus share raise 0.4% in the short time. in my opinion. i thought that, if businesses start to investing their business into "cloud" base, which is really easy and less cost to the company. they can improve their capability and performance, by delivering an excellent customer service and controlling their supply-chain.

CloneCloud a smartphone "Booster"

Due to the globalization and the information technology demand from business section, cloud computing is become 1 of the best inovation for the business nowadays.
It's a good decesion for the business in 21st century to chose cloud computing as their database storage,to improve their efficience and effectiveness, also reducing their cost. Instead of rent a data storage provider you can just pick one of the provider of cloud storage and start using them. With cloud computing we can interact with our colleauges easily, share the data, and help the daily business routine such as sending email and arrange the meeting.

cloud computing also give us a good flexibility, with just using our phone we can access out data/file thru our phone. But behide all the flexibility we got from cloud computing thru the phone there is also a several issues we facing. the biggest issues is the battery from the phone can drain-up quickly. Because cloud computing requaire us to have a high speed internet access on our mobile phone.

'That's why Intel Research Berkeley scientists Byung-Gon Chun and Petros Maniatis have been working on a solution to this problem. They've come up with something called CloneCloud" 'clonecloud' use our smartphone's high speed-internet access to created their own 'clone' in the 'cloud', so whenever we need to get our data from the 'Cloud', we can easily get it starightaway without waiting for several times. The main reason why they invented 'clonecloud', to improve our mobilephone capability in the battery life and the connection to the cloud.

'CloneCloud' wouldn't just make smart phones more efficient: it could also make them more capable. A test application developed by Chun performs face recognition on photos. It required 100 seconds of processor time on a standard Android phone, but it finished in only one second when run by a clone of the phone running on a desktop computer. Because the software runs on a cloud-computing platform, it can be scaled in terms of the amount of both memory allocated and processing power, both of which increase performance on computationally intensive tasks'
the test give the prove to us that with using the 'CloneCloud' it's just like shifting our mobile to silence mode, because all the data from the phone its already copied on the cloud so we can just pick and carry the data anytime we want instead of forcing our mobile to the edge and make it run out of battery.

There is still a problem we facing with clonecloud such as bandwidth limitation, and network latency. And  also in my opinion inorder to optimize the "clone" in our mobile, we need to have a good smartphone to support it and the SIM card provider need to has a good internet connection as well.
"Clonecloud" bring a lot of benefit for the people who actually run their business thru their mobile phone, its not just make your mobile phone run smoothly, on the hand its secure as well. Why i said that ?. because on the same time while you doing your work in your smartphone, the antivirus will also can run as well to protect you mobile from harm.

Cloud Computing

CLOUD COMPUTING

The network engineers used to illustrate unknown domains and large networks of servers located somewhere else by the symbol cloud.

That’s what the cloud computing is all about using the powers of other computers somewhere else in the world through internet. Cloud computing is basically virtual servers available over the internet. In this technological era every business needs to store and their data and information somewhere and a platform to run its business application, where it is safe and easily accessible from any part of the world. The question is how do they manage to do it? Renting a server or more, hiring specialist IT staff? But as it gets bigger and complicated the only answer is cloud computing. With cloud computing you rent a service rather than servers such as storage, email, accounting etc.

Services on offer:

Microsoft windows Hotmail, Google’s Gmail, yahoo’s mail are in the cloud. In this competitive business market Google docs and Google aps compete directly with Microsoft office and exchange. There are more and more following them. Project management, Customer relationship management (CRM), data storage, online publishing, ecommerce, online marketing, audio and visual streaming are all there in the cloud practically everything you’ll need in this business world.

Security:

The big players of this game Microsoft and Google have some of the best security system and staff in the world.  These big giant providers however represent attractive targets to the hackers to break in.

Australia in Cloud Computing:

Australia’s expensive broadband infrastructures have held back adoption a little. However Telstra is investing a great deal of money to become a giant player in Australia. Some big companies like commonwealth bank, Westpac, Visy, Komatsu etc have committed to Cloud Computing. Slowly its taking its shape in Australia as even the supermarkets with their mobile application app  not only this   even the Department of Defence’s CIO is advocating the cloud.

Pros and cons of Cloud computing:

Cloud computing would end the stories of data and information being stolen from laptops as the thin notebooks and tablet can be taken anywhere and used anywhere to get the information and data from cloud through the internet, Another main advantage is the cost as they need no more big space for the servers, and the data centre doesn’t exist in the IT departments. Software is always automatically updated and profiles remain consistent across all devices. There is a growing market for specific industries as the services are growing. The electronic medical records keep doctors well on track wherever the patient physically is. Lawyers are managing practice and communication with clients from the cloud. Application and data house from the cloud helps employees to communicate with each other regardless of their location.

The Downside:

Maintaining link to a cloud is one of the major concerns. If the link is damaged because of natural disaster or power failure or software crash the internet is not accessible so are the data and information in the cloud.

Security is another roadblock certainly for the government agencies. Privacy is also a reason why people don’t want to move data and application to somewhere they can’t see or touch.

Types of Cloud:

Public Cloud:

It is shared by multiple organizations. The seller hosts the infrastructure and the customer has no access and control over it.

Private cloud:

IT is owned maintained and controlled by single organization and is not shared to outsiders.

Hybrid Cloud:
Hybrid Is the mixture of both private and Public cloud. It gives you the best of both the cloud.

Cloud computing and smart phones:

According to recent survey Cloud-based mobile market will generate annual revenue of $9.5 billion in 2014 from $400 million in 2009, at an average annual increase of 88%.

This phenomenal growth is driven by increased mobile broadband coverage new web standard HTML5. The future of mobiles depends on the power of the cloud in the future itself. Google’s Gmail and voice mail are tow well known cloud application on our smart phones today. A cloud based mobile application is similar to an app purchased and downloaded like iTunes for example on iPhone where the processing power is driven from cloud not through the mobile itself. Through smart phone mobile apps corporate users can shares files company data, projects and more. . In coming years, mobile apps will comprise an increasing proportion of the total revenues with business plans that involve subscription-based content and mobile advertising. In near future, there will be the growth in both device and cloud based applications.
